3.0 quakes/close calls with tornadoes/National Emergencys/fault lines/Hurricanes forming and my radio station reacting

well today i had another sharp pain in my back today while i was eating lunch and i found out that 3.0 quake just southeast of chickasha and i also found out that there is a fault line forming north of lawton and one small fault line in commerce, texas. if their any other types of emergency going on and if it hits sherman denison i doubt that any radio station will be on the air after a quake, large tornadoes, Civil Emergency, Hurricanes, Eemergency Action Notifications, any type of big violent situations.

theres alot of things going on wether its man made, weather hazards, sesmic emergencies or any type of emgerncy going on and i noticed that grayson and fannin counties is testing their cable override EAS Endec alot lately fannin county test theirs 2 twice in one hour. and i heard that FEMA is going to do an National EAN Emergency test for the whole country using CAP sometime after october. north texas has been hit with remants of hurricanes.

i just wonder if any of this happens, how long will the stations stay on the air? what would my station be able to do? What will i do? What is my Family gonna do? hows is sherman denison gonna react to this? how will the whole Country will react to?

about 11:45 PM CDT a 2.6 earthquake ouccured in west central dallas county,texas and lot of people felt it around the area. if i still had my AM Station Still Operational the coverage would be bad and it would just kill my transmitter (as in coverage). the ground here is horrible the quakes in oklahoma state and around dallas would just make the ground worse and eventually i had to quit and due to the ground being so bad, i have houses foundations crippled so bad the whole houses collapse espically old houses, i’ve said it once and ill say it again!!!!… staring a part 15 AM Station Along the red river and west central grayson county is not a good place to start a AM radio station, the ground, the quakes, and just makes it no good to the point where it makes you frustrated!

about a week ago, i had to change formats. before i made the switch to progressive pop/rock the format was Adult Gold Music Format i had to change it because of tough competition. in late 2008 a new Adult Classic Hits station came on the air Called 107.3 Doc FM in savoy-sherman-dension, and KJIM AM 1500 the local Nostalgia/MOR/Adult Contemporary station and my station was slipping so i made the switch to progressive pop/rock and i am sastifed with the switch and the sound is catching on so, i’ll see how the switch works out.

im thinking after getting the streaming software for my station and also get a new phone service for the station also, theres a new broadband internet phone service called “the magic jack” no monthly payments, it is only $40 the first year and then $20 every year and that is what i am thinking about getting that sometime after christmas. what phone service do ya use for your station?

i got a question gang, What Componet Or Software Do You Use For Streaming Your Station On the Internet? i would like to know because honestly…… I HAVE NO FLIPPIN IDEA!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! any thoughts or suggestions… i would greatly appreciate it!

i go to bed at 8 or 8:30 PM the night before and i rise and shine at 2 AM (Yeah Thats Right 2 AM!)and i watch 5 news programs and get the news typed up on the computer which takes about 2 1/2 hours to do, and just before 6 AM Sign on and get the paper and deejay until 10 AM. i play the newest music, personalilty is Very Important and give news and information and to provide a healthy and entertaining balance in the morning and keeping the audience very company in the morning. people say the early morning hours are full of life on the radio. That is very true if the dj has the right of mind key important things i listed above will help draw the audience and bring ratings. Were are the only Part 15 Radio Station In Grayson County, Texas and it isn’t easy getting up early and doing a show but i make the best of it every Tuesday And Thursday of every week 6-10 AM. so if your in West Sherman Particually inbetween The Rehab Center Washington Street, Houston-Lamar Street and Highway 75.
