CAP/EAS

November 14, 2011 by ABMedia1

as you know they did the national eas test with the new cap or common alerting protocol and through the PEP system, i was wondering…. since stations has to comply with this cap software by 2 months ago, so does every station have to have cap in every station around the country? i have been looking it up cause i was curious to know. i know a few people in the Sherman/Denison/Ada radio market i tried to ask them, but never got a reply… so if anybody can explain it to me that would be awesome! many thanks

A Spit balled Idea… With AM Radio/Ground

November 9, 2011 by ABMedia1

today i had another idea? about my am station i used to have. when i get my commercial-community program hybrid, and streaming started and going, i know what am & fm transmitter what i want to get but my problems with am is that my ground is no good in my location and i tried just about everything, but a spit balled idea hit me? if you have an medium-wave transmitter and antenna on a 50ft-75ft-95ft tower with the grounding wire to the ground attached to the tower, pack tightly with new grass & earth i bought/installed, on my lawn (and watered), and have a second ground wire attached to the tower, and clamped to your grounding rod for your Cable, now if 1 grounding wire rod/ isn’t giving you total efficiency,a second grounding wire rod for more efficiency, and gives you 100 percent efficiency. tell me what you think about it and give me your honest opinion?

A Creative Idea with an Innovative Approach When Faced With Today’s Obstacles.

November 7, 2011 by ABMedia1

Today I Had an Idea about my part 15 radio station, well today’s economy is bleak, when you not for profit non commercial station, economy is bad, jobs being cut, no donators for the station, things are getting tough nowadays, so I had an idea hit me, us part 15’ers are faced with this so here’s my concept. How about turning about our/your station to Commercial/Community Radio Hybrid. Advertise on our/your station while still having our part 15 community radio format. Now think about it, for a second. A hybrid I saw a thing on how to make a living on our part 15 radio community radio station from radio brandy. And I saw this very interesting. I use my station as a business and a hobby too. Us part 15’ers are considers community station that serves parts of our towns we live in, so I think that together as a hybrid, a neat creative idea with an innovative approach, with today’s obstacles as in (economy lack of money/donations etc), so think about it and tell me what you think.
