Where can i find part 15 kits for longwave & shortwave?
It seems to me there are a few out there claiming to be shortwave and longwave but are they truly p15 compliant?

If i had it my way i would buy a ham rig and do whatever was necessary to make them work for my needs and still remain legal.
Ramsey has a few qrp rigs for use in the ham bands but i havent read the forums there at ramsey to see if they can operate in the p15 area of shortwave. Longwave as we all know is below 550 khz so some am transmitters can be modified for longwave.
Im considering converting my sstran for use in longwave area and im pretty certain it cannot be converted for shortwave.
My reasons for doing this is:
One, i dont see any good coming out of the future of digital radio on am or fm. I would do this to get away from the frying noise we are about to hear on both bands.
Two, the nostalgic reasons. I have always been impressed with the history of shortwave and longwave radio. I used to sit in awe as I tuned into some amateur stations on AM running converted broadcast transmitters. Some of those rigs sound better than station on 530 to 1700.
Three, ive always been a dx’er on ssb/am on 11 meters and would like to branch out into different bands. Maybe print a few qsl cards just in case. 🙂
Anyways, ill keep looking around.

At 10:00 pm I was making my way home from Walmart when I turned the car radio up to listen to FRL on 95.7 fm. But before I could get into range of my station, I heard the station id of WHIO FM! Conditions were great and for a couple minutes I listened to WHIO just before my station took over.
Nice dx’ing there without even trying. Usually all I hear is WQMF just before my station takes over.
I need your help with a format change
I am seriously thinking about dropping the current rock/talk format and going with an all kids oriented format.

Nothing like Radio Disney, lets face it they arent teaching kids anything useful except maybe how to grow up too fast.
I would be more than happy to drop everything from the station that i have been playing the past year and half in favor for a format exclusively for kids.
As a father I can see whats happening to todays youth.
I feel it’s time for a change.
If it takes writing letters to everyone I can think of for kid apropritate programming then that is what i will do.
I need a project and this looks like a good one to start with.
Even changing the name of the station from free radio london to radio sunshine sounds good to me.
What say you?

Zara has let me down too many times now.
Streams have not played or started at the times i programmed them for, Sometimes the playlist goes nuts and cycles thru the playlists.
It worked well for me in the past, but lately it has failed me .
I am currently using winamp wich means i have to check on the broadcasts as well as insert the next file or stream.
I am currently trying to manage as many as three or four streams and playlists.
As always, your input is much appreciated.
