Don't remember which tube it was, since it's been 5 or 6 years ago. But no, the power was not turned up. Matter of fact, I ran it on the low side of things. Never had a moment's trouble until the t-storm.

Last year I traded the gittings for a Radio Systems TX-20 carrier current xmitter. Still have it but haven't found a coupler for it yet.

Mostly I have used a Rangemaster for the past few years. 1610 isn't working very well and 1620 has a licensed station that comes in.

I'm really thinking about just getting the iAM transmitter
and surplusing most of the rest of what I have, because I'm moving the station out of the house to the new building. It's
a little office trailer and a lot of excess stuff is not going to fit.

Robert, I'd certainly be open to a swap of some sort if you are interested. The Rangemaster has crystals for both 1610 and 1620, I believe. I'll be traveling on and off for the next week so probably won't have a chance to check back on this forum until after New Years.

60 seconds? Our December revenue went directly from checks in the envelope to teller, and from there funds immediately funneled to direct pay. We did not even get to see anything other than receipts! I think the whole process took all of 20-40 seconds. :/

I wouldn't mind adding that big rig to the CC collection. Would serve as an excellent amp cabinet being driven by a Harris STX-1C exciter. In fact that's what I am hunting for that unit.

Unfortunately like you Rev, were so broke all the experience in the world can't fix it. If the unit is still around in about 3 or 4 weeks, I may be able to spring for it...before Spring rolls around. 😀
