Well I have acquired yet another transmitter, an LPB TX2-20 for a whopping $20 plus shipping. I have a meeting with a business on the main drag in my town tonight, to show them the transmitter and coupler, and ask if I can use their closet to run a CC station. I have also borrowed a Potomac FIM from an engineer friend so I can keep it legal. This is gonna be a busy, yet very productive day! No C-QUAM stereo stuff just yet, Aspisys is having issues with eBay's new International policies, and may not be selling there anymore. Oh, I have also been in touch with Jack Gittings, and 5 years ago he redesigned the PLL board he use to sell, the last version used common IC's and would accept an external 10khz reference. Can you say GPS sync? I'm on a roll, boys!! LOL

You are setting a good example Ultanium, and others among us have big dreams of going CC.
Don't stop!
I know a little about business meetings and here's what you should do if they turn you down:
Stand up abruptly upsetting your chair, push the table so that water pitchers almost spill, and scream at an unnaturally high pitch, "YOU FOOLS! YOU MORONS! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'VE JUST TURNED DOWN! THE SIMPLE USE OF YOUR CLOSET WOULD HAVE TURNED THIS PLACE AROUND! I KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU LIVE! THIS ISN'T OVER!"
Now sit back down as if nothing happened and wait for somebody to continue.
Meeting went great, Houston we have a GO for installation and power up. I didn't even get a chance to scream, they were all really nice and asked me lots of technical questions. 🙂

How wonderful you dealt with reasonable intelligent people. That doesn't always happen.
Great project ahead.
Its going to be fun! I really like your LPH show, especially the ones with RFB and carrier current. Wish he was here to make sure I don't screw anything up! lol

Thing to remember is that breaker box and its deadly dangers when coupling to the "HOT" lines. If your not sure, find a qualified electrician to work the breaker box connections.
I recommend coupling to the neutral line and using an isolated earth ground for the return. It will make the entire installation very safe and away from those nasty hot lines, as well as reduce the annoying 60hz AC hum to practically nothing.
Another tip, only use as much RF power as needed to get good coverage. If you push too much RF onto the line, then receivers in the near field, which would be just about everywhere in that race track arena, would saturate and the sound will be incredibly scratchy and garbled.
CC is regulated under 15.221 and 15.209. Stick to these rules and the limits specified and you will enjoy years of trouble free broadcasting.

coupling to the neutral also bypasses the static shields on the hot lead in most cases and will allow the signal to go well beyond the arena. this works in most but not all installations.
Aspisys is having issues with eBay's new International policies,
ebay needs to stay out of issues like these and just be a broker between buyer and seller. they should not be regulating what comes and goes between borders and the government shouldn't be asking them to be their agents either. this is the job of customs not a bunch of people at ebay who have no real understanding or training in these issues.
"Aspisys is having issues with eBay"
Simply bypass the middle man madness and deal with ASPISYS direct like I do. There is no reason why anyone should subject themselves to a middle man like EBAY when you can go to the vendor website and do business directly from there.

Requiring businesses to be enforcement bureaus is, by definition, unfunded mandate.
Elsewhere in law unfunded mandates have been disallowed.
The law doesn't follow the law.
