In order to seperate between general part 15 chat and general "shoot the s**t", I suggest we open up a general conversation tab.

Because I have a good joke to tell and don't want to be off topic.

There is a forum category called "General Discussion."

What's the joke?

My vote would support a Section where no posts may be made having details that could not factually be proven.

Rich wants a Section for himself alone.

Does Mr Blare seek to grant himself (and the others who follow him) to be able to post whatever is desired without regard to the technical/legal accuracy of such posts, with regard to Part 15?

Hopefully not.

Hello Rich. Let's pursue your question: "Does Mr Blare seek to grant himself (and the others who follow him) to be able to post whatever is desired without regard to the technical/legal accuracy of such posts, with regard to Part 15?"

With regard to Part 15 and all matters relative to radio broadcasting there will always be questions and uncertainties which are a normal part of the process of learning, experimenting and discussing in the quest for facts.

You claim to bring "facts" to the table, but have only dogmatic opinions, and are no more qualified a Part 15 authority than I am.

I will say this however... you are the only man ever to split truth and reality into two separate categories.

In part, Mr Blare posted this referring to me:  I will say this however... you are the only man ever to split truth and reality into two separate categories.

Please prove your allegation, Mr Blare.

Up above in Post # 5 Rich said: Does Mr Blare seek to grant himself (and the others who follow him) to be able to post whatever is desired without regard to the technical/legal accuracy of such posts, with regard to Part 15?

Mr. Blare's Alternate Reply (see my earlier reply also): Yes, I most certainly would "grant myself" and so on and so forth, BUT, only in the appropriate Section. Certainly never in your "Facts" section. Had you forgotten there would be other sections than your own?

I am not sure how much more of this nonsense i can stand RICH!

Atrain merely suggested a new section for this website where we could hold general discussions NOT NECESSARILY RADIO RELATED!! What is wrong with you??

I am really close to my breaking point Rich and i am certain that is what you are hoping for with your constant beraiting of other members of Part 15.us. And yet we now have rules of conduct that seem to be geared towards protecting your fragile psyche.

I think all forums and social media should have some type of rules, that is obvious but in  our case the rules of conduct here should be renamed The Rich Rules of Conduct.

The rules don't pertain to Rich, just other members. Follow these rules and do not question why they do not apply to that one member. I have been a member of Part15.us since April 13, 2007 according to my profile page and it's been fun for the most part, i have learned a lot along the way and I know the rules forwards and backwards, i have them printed out in a binder like a book report a 7 th grader would print up in typing class for extra credit.

I don't need the rules thumped into my head like someone with a learning disablility, nor does Carl Blare, or any of the other long time members of this group.

Things like this have been dragging this forum through the mud and I'll damned if i am going to sit idlely by and watch trolls destroy a wonderful resource.

Therfore I am asking the Admin to kindly remove my log in details from the database and I will not be returning. Members of this website, thank you for the wonderful wealth of information and your friendship. You are and will always be the beacon during the storm.

Keep broadcasting and don't give up on this hobby. I will continue to broadcast and follow the rules without the constant OCD driven nagging from people like Rich.

If any of the members , no make that friends here at Part15.us would like to stay in touch with me that would be great, my email address is [email protected].
You can also keep up with me on Facebook.com Barry A. Sallade or my website www.bluebucketradio.com. As long as I am here, rich will continue to irritate me with his constant nagging and I am afraid the next time I respond to one of his post's will be the day i pull all the stops.

Happy Broadcasting
Barry of Blue Bucket Radio 1520

So from all of us at Blue Bucket Radio to all of you out there, wherever you are, remember: the light at the end of the tunnel may be you. Good night - Aerosmith

Wish I could say just ignore Rich....the rest of us don't want to see you go I'm sure. This is a great site for us with a common hobby to have a forum like this and I wish one member who is a nusance sometimes wouldn't bother you this much and you'd stay but I guess you've made up your mind so good luck and enjoy the hobby...

I hope you reconsider, Barry.

I know that the rules apply to everyone - that is a fact.  I was up until recently a moderator here.

Whether a Part 15 installation is legal or not is only just an opinion, unless you are an FCC inspector.  That is a fact.

I would like to see fewer discussions on legality here, and more on the technical aspects of Part 15.  That is an opinion.

Barry wrote "...I'll damned if i am going to sit idlely by and watch trolls destroy a wonderful resource."

Yet you are allowing your aggravation to do just that, at least for you. It is your choice.

As a moderator here I am walking a pretty tight line to be as fair as I can be to all posters while insisting on mutual respect. This does not mean that all posts will please everyone. We have a choice. We can censor Rich and anyone else who is perceived to be making some uncomfortable and allow only those posts which elicit no complaints or we can allow uncensored, but respectful, exchange of information even if not all agree with what is posted. I support free exchange of information without censorship including disagreement as long as it is done respectfully.

Regarding "thumping the rules", is it surprising that with posts about using FM frequencies which are not authorized, talk of using power not authorized, redefining words and rules to justify exceptions to the Part 15 rules, and statements of incorrect and unsubstantiated technical and legal facts, that some of us will try to provide correct information? Why are those who strive to provide accurate information vilified when those who post shaky information are not?

Each of us, individually, has choices. We can disagree and state our reasoning and debate, we can ignore posts which we find annoying, or we can stop participating on this forum.

No one in this thread, in my opinion, has posted anything which is not consistent with the rules of the forum. If you feel someone has violated the rules of this forum you are free to privately inform me and the site owner, Jon Paul, by using the CONTACT function.

My friends, I don't need this crap! I volunteered to continue as a moderator when Jon Paul became the owner in order to provide continuity and experience to help manage the forum, he accepted my offer, and I have tried my best to keep things civil and welcoming here. I don't want to begin editing and deleting posts just because they don't fit someone's template and I don't think any of you want this either.

Neil
