I'm home free.
I hooked up the 15-year old Panasonic AVE-5 Video-Audio Mixer and it also didn't work.
But it did work, which confused me a lot.
I could see sound registering on the VU meter, but it wasn't getting into the computer.
"Now wait a minute here..." those were my exact words.
I patched to a different computer input and things went back to normal.
Maybe my other mixers aren't as broken as they are.
Later on as I celebrate the spoils of victory I'll be linking a recording of my return to the microphone.
Superstition can be dispelled.
Is asked you to be placed on the Right Reverend Richard Fry prayer chain to help you solve your problem. Looks like it worked. You can thank me later.
.
Would you take your prayer service into a different thread please? Thank you.
Now then... as indicated earlier I am posting audio proof that we are again able to produce live spoken audio.
One member demands proof from time to time, despite the unlikelihood that proof of anything could be relayed on an open web forum, but unless this audio clip is a fake, it is real.
PROOF POSITIVE THAT CARL DID WHAT HE SAID
This thread is far from over.
In # 32 Mr. D. Hills said, "I asked you to be placed on the Right Reverend Richard Fry prayer chain to help you solve your problem. Looks like it worked. You can thank me later."
I'm sure thanks are due you, Mr. Druid, or should I thank Rev. Fry? Or, wouldn't I really want to thank the Lord God Almighty for guiding me on the path to mixer repair?
"Mixology?"
This thread has been like a daytime soap of yesteryear. "My fiance was shot by her jealous lover, but lived after being pronounced dead because nothing was wrong with her."
Next week, the mixer will morph into a toaster and Like Heywood Banks, Carl will be singing "TOAST"
craigF thank you for bringing Heywoodbanks for an audition. We are so impressed by him we are devoting one of our stations to full time Heywoodbanks.
As far as toasters are concerned, there is a Video Toaster plugged into this Amiga directly behind me, would you like me to open the case and show it to you? It really won't be any trouble.
No Carl, You have had enough trouble with wayward technology this week!!! And Heywood rocks, well, kind of.
I went to a live performance some years ago when I lived in Raleigh, NC. He is in my opinion very intelligent and very funny.
But "Perhaps Dead Air is Better." My theme of the day...
