apparently there is a carrier current book written by R.F. burns and i would like to locate a copy. from what i gather it is no longer in print. a friend of mine has a copy but he is currently unable to locate it in his mess of books and papers.

even if he did locate it he is often too busy to run off a copy for me and lives 1200 miles from me presently so i am unable to just stop by and scan it to my pc.

if anyone has this book and wishes to loan it to me to scan to pdf or throw it on the zerox (again it's OOP so do gooders keep yer shorts on) and give it back i'd really like a copy for my engineering collection here.

i have a NAB engineers HB how many p15'ers have that.

it's urking me knowing there is a book on carrier current floating around that i somehow missed.

The book is interesting to hear about and I will also start searching.

Do you know the year of publication or the publisher?

don't know a thing about it. emailed both RFB and R.F. burns. RFB hasn't replied yet and RFburns did reply and said it wasn't him who wrote it.

I was sure that RFB and RF Burns were the same person. Are there two different people? Which one helped me start a carrier current station? What was the other one doing at the time?

as far as i can tell yes. they are two different people, but i'm not completely sure. i seem to want to think in a couple forums RFB did go by RFBurns and then changed to RFB but there is an active guy in addition to RFB going by RFBurns.

There was a Robert F. Burns who served in the US Army back in WWII. Died some years ago.

Then there is RFB...me.

And an RFBurns over at HB forum.

I suggest you start by asking whomever it was that told you there is a book on CC exactly where they got the tip.

The only publications I am aware of are a 1945 ARRL handbook and EW's "Wired Wireless" publication.

Motivate the friend to dig deep and find it in that pile.

Well perhaps your friend will find it and send it to you.

BTW, I have 4 copies of the NAB handbook spanning 1996 to 2001.

:p
