In the last show we learned of the departure of T. D. Mischke from his popular "The Nite Show" on WCCO, Minneaopolis. Now we wonder why Ruth Koscielak of ruthtoday.com discontinued her popular podcast after four years, with no word to the audience. And we say farewell to Kevin Smith and his highly popular paranormal radio show on kevinsmithshow.com, who died in complications of heart surgery as reported by MRAM 1500. Morgan Ford introduces "The Last Minute Radio Theater" and an original radio play by Carl Blare titled: "Deadline." Another installment of the "How To" series talks about "Safe Broadcasting." Low Power in the News" tells of an opening at 1640kHz AM and samples a Sony pocket recorder thanks to Radio8Z.
This is a brief note. I hope I can
come back later and add some more
comments about LPH #80.
Anyway, within LPH #80 is another
show called: The Last Minute Radio
Theater. I have always loved these
short little bits of comedy, as you
have made them available, Carl.
This latest one made me laugh
out loud as I was trying to get
our washing machine to spin a
load (there's a lose belt in there.)
Laundry at night. A messed up
washing machine. Good thing DOGRADIO
FM transmitter #4 was running this show
on 107.5. My trusty Grundig S-350 was
playing Carl's program there in the cellar.
I definately needed a good laugh while
struggling with wet laundry in a too old
washer at 12:30AM.
Thanks again, Carl.
Life calls. If I get a chance
I will add some other comments
about the show later on.
Bruce, DOGRADIO
P.S. I think I've said this before,
but the Low Power Hour is a
great thing to listen to later
in the evening when nobody is
around and you are doing whatever
you do later in the evening. With
me, it's laundry.
while I cleaned the bottom of the bird cage but I don't have a cage because I don't have a bird. I'll find something else to do while listening.
Seriously, great programs Carl.
Neil
