Hello,

I need to make some assumptions since you didn't provide much information. Electrically it doesn't much matter and you should pay attention to the physical characteristics of the wire. For short runs I use RG8X coax and just connect to the shield. For longer runs, I recommend you get some #16 stranded "copper clad" steel wire which is available from amateur radio suppliers. This wire is very strong, is solderable, and will survive the outdoor weather for many years. Plastic or porcelin "egg insulators" are used in the center and at the ends of the dipole.

I used small "U" cable clamps. Just run the wire through the insulator and fold it back on itself and fasten the loop closed with the clamp.

Sorry, I don't have pics.

Neil
