..., well, sort of. My server gave up the ghost shortly after I pulled the plug in early September (amazing timing, that). I've managed to get everything mostly running properly except for the web server (getting some strange error messages attempting to start up IIS in Windows 2000 on the new computer).
So if you just can't wait to listen, here is the direct link: http://www.artisanradio.com:8000/ArtisanRadio.mp3
We won't be up all the time, so don't worry if you don't get a connection (we'll be up this evening in test mode until about midnight Pacific time, and, generally speaking, most evenings). The plan is to play Vintage Jazz (20s & 30s) and Old Time Radio, at least at first. I also will be putting together a weekly show of popular music prior to 1920 - there are some real interesting musicians and interesting stories from that time period.
Right now, I'm transmitting on AM 1570 using a Talking Sign transmitter, but will probably switch over to 99.7 FM using a Landmark FM-350, at least at some point. I'm still doing the final range tests. Both transmitters are Industry Canada certified, so nothing to worry about there.
A good winter project until I get back into the RV.
I'm sure you'll straighten it out.

Thanks Bruce. I certainly didn't want to have to rebuild the server.
I should also mention that depending on a number of factors, including your audio player, computer, operating system, etc., you may have to cut and paste that link into your player (i.e., it may not work by directly clicking on it).
I've also been collecting some network gear, and am thinking about finally building an Artisan Radio wireless hotspot here in Pitt Meadows. Some interesting challenges there but again, a nice winter project.
Well - yup - it sure could be on
my end.
I have listened to you before - so
sooner or later it will happen!
Good luck with the wireless hotspot.
We will all want to know about that,
I'm sure.
Best Wishes,
Bruce, 1020 CC
