We have been fine tuning some of the inner workings of the site and want to mention a couple of them which can affect your use of the site. New users (and occasionally longer term users) sometimes have their posts flagged as spam since our spamcatcher is very effective and sometimes mistakes good part 15 posts as spam. When this happens, the post goes into an "unpublished" condition (it is not lost) and is not visible on the forum until released by a moderator. This delays the posting. There is a counter which keeps track of each user's posts and when the number of posts reaches a particular value the user is marked as "filter free" which means subsequent posts will not be flagged as spam. This number was set quite high but has been reset to a lower number so if you find your posting delayed this should go away as you accumulate posts. Please don't post trivial things just to boost your count...if you are impatient use the CONTACT button in the left panel to request that we change your status manually.
Which leads to the next tweak. We have found that the CONTACT feature on the left panel has not been working for several months (rather embarrassing) and this has been fixed. We ask that you reserve this for comments, suggestions, problems, questions, etc. which relate to the operation of the site and post your part15 related items on the regular forums.
Behind the scenes the site operation is improving and you probably will not notice much that is different but the gears are being oiled and the site is being tended.
