At those power levels and distance and the time of day, do they really expect any serious DX reporting during a time of day when skywave does not happen?

Some might snatch the tail end (6p ET) further EAST if they are out on a boat somewhere. Might be a "little" fade in-fade out up to the great divide (Mississippi River), but beyond that?

Great idea...wrong time of the day unfortunately.

As religious stations they had prayer power packs on their transmitters and expected a miracle.
