Live from Alcatraz
KDX Worldround Radio is carrying live the Unthanksgiving Ceremony from Alcatraz Rock hosted by and honoring Indigenous People but now also joined by people from all over the world as the event has become widely attractive on an international scale.
Radio producer and host Maria Gilardin of TUC Radio told us she is always there every year.
The speakers tell that rain finally came yesterday to clear the smoke that was making it so hard to breathe there in California, and now the sky is clear and the rain has paused for the Ceremony.
By the way, I appreciate Mark's addition to the Rap Experience and I'll be contributing to Mark's Rap Continued column because the subject for me is not yet done away with.
Oh, and the Alcatraz feed is originating from KPFA, 59 kW, Pacifica Station in San Francisco.
The Day Rolls On
The Alcatraz program, hosted by Radio Free Alcatraz, was 2-hours live, at the conclusion of which the Indigenous American Indian hosts, many tribes represented, declared their solidarity with the People of Palestine and Black Lives Matter.
As it was streaming live from KPFA in Berkeley I tried to record the program with Audacity, but found no way to tap into my Zara stream.
It will probably be archived at Pacifica, but why can't Audacity record what is streaming?

The Hour of Slack
Every Sunday morning the Reverend Stang and the SubGenius Chorus pays Worship to BoB in His Heavenly Theme Park in the Sky. This morning we witnessed a Hands Off Healing which set right a man's extreme acne on the hindside.
Coming up next is Peter Anthony Holder's Stuphfile Program, usually featuring odd news stories, but this week a Christmas show which defies the standards and practices of KDX Worldround radio, a secular station that has heard it all before and doesn't want to hear it again. What I guess we'll do is substitute a "Best Of" show from the past year.
Then finally we'll hear SETI's "Big Picture Science" and fawn over Molly Bentley, the co-host.
At 12 NOON Local Time, as per every Sunday, KDX will close for maintenance and equipment inspection, to return to the air at 5 PM with Harry Schearer and his Le Show, done from various cities as Harry is a world traveler. Some weeks he's in Santa Monica, or New Orleans, or London. He never skips a show and has been on radio for 35 years.
At 6 PM we'll hear the 2nd Deutsche Welle Festival Concert from Germany, followed by the Ralph Nader Radio hour, and at last the overnight schedule featuring programs from TUC Radio in Northern California.
Our daily playing of "Baby It's Cold Outside" will be played at a surprise time.
Last Minute Reprieve
In the spirit of fairness I gave a listen to this week's Stuphile and realize I was prematurely spooked about "Christmas content". What was found is that Peter Anthony Holder interviews an actress who plays a mean boss in a light-hearted holiday movie, not too much candy and sugar... so his current program will be aired on KDX.
Also, we looked closer at tonight's Ralph Nader Radio Hour and look forward to his guests... a book author who wrote "We can reverse global warming", and Constitutional Scholar Bruce Fein to clarify the Mueller Investigation.
Vigil for Assange
KDX Worldround Radio is carrying a very large (3-hour) tele-conference of leading journalists from radio, TV print and web media discussing the serious situation being faced by the respected journalist Jullian Assange still living as a refugee at the Ecuadoron Embassy in London.
At My Station Right Now
All too frequently this forum site blocks what I'm trying to add with a notice that I am blocked and resemble spam.
Another weakness here is that the time to edit a post seems to be about 1-minute.
It is very easy to reach the point of saying "screw this".
What I Wanted to Correct But Was Blocked from Doing
Up above I typed Ecuadoron but the correction is Ecuadoraan.

Speaking of Deers
Right now George Hrab's "Geologic" is floating on the air with George telling how he unexpectedly rammed a deer (is that redundant?) while driving a New York state highway.
George is fine, his van suffered $2,100 damage and the deer ran off with unknown injuries.
I just hope it wasn't Rudolph.
Christmas Music.
Indoors and Out
"This Week in Radio Tech" brings 21-year-old radio engineer James Copeland with stories of old and new technology, starting at age 14 with a station in his bedroom built from Radio Shack Parts, early HAM experience, and today dealing with professional transmitters and high voltage.
Earlier this morning as every year, a discussion of the growing homeless situation which got me wondering how low power radio could be of benefit to the problem. Nothing came to mind, so we'll revisit the question next year. The program concluded that homelessness can't be solved because there's no profit in it.
Having a bit of an 80s party on Radio Free Connecticut right now. Currently playing Michael Jackson's "Rock With You". 🙂

That's Not Holy Mist, That's Dust
As every Sunday morning KDX is airing "Hour of Slack" from Church of the Sub-Genius.
Ever since AMRadioLegend told us about this hole-filled program, that's holy program, we have felt Nearer My BoB to Thee.
