AMRadioLegend just aired Amy Goodman, Democracy Now, and the same program comes up in 2-hours here on KDX, when Aretha Franklin will be featured for much of the show.
Halloween jams! At 10:25 PM eastern time, on 10/31/2018, Radio Free Connecticut is playing "Monster Mash" by Bobby Pickett and the Crypt-Kicker Five. 🙂

Every year on Halloween I dress up like an insane security guy and shut off all the lights while I watch a film noir movie on YouTube and run normal programming on KDX.
Things have changed over the years. While once the neighborhood was infested by loud screaming demonic children, now most of the houses go dark which is the international symbol for "no candy". I hope Halloween is dying as a thing to do.
Today, November 1st, KDX started late because I went to town for some official business and the result is that we will be running late into the night with sophisticated intellectually uplifting programs.

At almost 5 PM local time the Thom Hartman Program is on, many hours late.
This morning KDX signed on very late, almost 5-hours late, because of other business that called me away into the city.
By the time I finally signed on the future was well under way.
But, it is still today, although they tell me a new month has started.

Right now, at 1:34 PM eastern on 11/21/2018, Radio Free Connecticut is in the middle of a rap block....and airing "Number One" by Nelly. 🙂
That's Got My Interest

The reason I find that interesting is that recently I ran across something on the web that talked about rap music and it increased my interest in this form of music that I already like.
What we hope to do at KDX is find a source of royalty free and good quality rap music so we can use it as time-filler music between programs.

There has never been a Wolfman Jack station in my area, so I know little about his sound.
Setting out on a hunt, we have come across traces of The Jack, together with a batch of other interesting looking material.
Greater Understanding About the Rap Issue
I was following my own words from earlier about finding license free rap music, when I ran across a mini-rant against rap, which has put me on pause.
What I think is being said here is that rap promotes degeneracy, which is bad enough without promoting it.
