The KDX Master Clock
After hearing the same news reported all week (mine is a news talk station) we are giving it a rest this afternoon by airing the Clock, using Zara Sequential Files, consisting of a tock-tock-tock sound and each hour's time announcement "20-hours, 39-minutes, Universal Time".
Similar to WWV the National Time station, the difference being that the KDX Clock is not accurate because of stream latency.
Abrupt Storm
The moment I posted about the Big KDX Clock we received a weather alert... a seriously violent storm was happening fast and winds, hail and electric shocks would arise in less then 10-seconds! Off we went, disconnecting everything and retreating to the disaster shelter deep in the earth.
The PGA Golf Tournament, a few miles from here, was suspended.
Highways went berserk... crashes, backups, floodings... yet we managed to be on the outside edge with no damage.

The Big Pic
Big Picture Science with Seth Shostak and Molly Bentley talking about "brain boosters" on S.E.T.I.'s weekly science show, really grabbing my attention when they started mentioning coffee, which by coincidence I reviewed only this morning.
There are endless links on the search engine to articles promoting the benefits of coffee, whereas 2-months ago I stopped drinking it after reading a single negative report on the substance. I'm very suggestible.
Along with all of this I've become a human experiment now returning to coffee to try and analyze the effects compared to being coffee free.
Conclusion: radio is a brain booster.
Got the music crankin' again! Right now, at 8:17 PM eastern on 8/16/2018, it's Blessid Union of Souls with "Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me For Me)" on Radio Free Connecticut! 🙂
Blessid Music
KDX carried the amazing Shostakovitch Symphony No. 7 performed at BBC Proms, recalling the Nazi siege on Leningrad Russia while the composer volunteered as a firefighter.
Now we have the Bob Cesca Show from the Relm Network, discussing potential for a civil war on our streets.
Make appropriate shopping plans.
