It’s a tiny download (837kb), stand alone program that doesn’t require an install, and uses next to nothing in system resources.
I really liked it, so in case you missed it:

I have the big Yamaha book, “Sound Reinforcement Handbook”, which, BTW, is a ‘standard’, and hasn’t anything especially relevant to Yamaha-only gear … it’s very generic. Even though it says ‘Reinforcement’, it also includes a great deal about audio recording (relative of broadcasting); includes just about everything there is to know about how various pieces of audio gear hook together, matching input/output impedances, balanced/unbalanced lines, lots of diagrams … it’s a great book. IMO, no studio should be without it on hand. If I really need to know about something involving audio signals, it’s my first choice. It’s getting worn.

Well, this enthused me and I located a free downloadable pdf on Scribd of the second edition which I was going to print out to keep on hand for reference, — that is until I realized it’s 431 pages long..
So, on second thought, I just bid a used copy on ebay!

Came across this online directory of programs available for syndication, I noticed some of the links were dead, but there is some cool stuff up there for free. I was listening to a good science related show from there for a while.. (I forget the name, but its easy to find.. I think it was under “News”)

Alright.. This is really cool, a video presenting how to build a AM radio with no tools and minimal materials. It is based on the methods used by creative soldiers during WW2 so they could enjoy listing to music while confined in their foxholes.. Thus the name “Foxhole Radio”

It’s probably already common knowledge to many of you, but then again, so is about every other topic posted here.
As for myself, it looks so basic and simple, that it impressed me!
