Dear Affiliates and Radio Friends:

On behalf of the MICRO 1700, the Main Announcer of New Show Releases, who is on assignment, I announce…

Low Power Hour No. 50 is fresh from the slaughter house.

My morning illusion is spent doing some CB DXing, inspired by the CB postings from Sludge Broadcasting, combined with a visit to the Wintenna antenna test site;

Voice actor Billy West tells the panel at “The Skeptic’s Guide to the Universe” how bad he thinks radio has become;

Carl references the words “kitsch” and “Foley”;

Carl continues his ground studies with the book “Soil”;

Carl unveils his attempt at song writing;

Plus other jumbled content.

Groundless Antenna

September 10, 2012 by Carl Blare

Errante’s Antenna does away with the need for a ground plane or earth ground by utilizing a virtual ground.

Alternate Energy

September 10, 2012 by Carl Blare

Every week I dispose of 4-cans of vegetation from the parkland hereabout.

Vegetative waste is energy.

Energy is being disposed.

There have been blogs and forums about solar power, wind power, lightning power, and what I envision is a rectangular invention which converts garden cuttings into electricity.

First there would be a large bin. That would be the “input”.

There would be an AC electrical socket. That would be the “output”.

All we need is the stuff in-between which would make the conversion.

Get to work!

What’s This Now

September 10, 2012 by Carl Blare

I’m getting an animated advertisement on my left screen for “Singles in My City.” That seems fine, except that I’m seeing a scrolling list of male faces. Even though I’m not shopping for any singles, it wouldn’t include men. It worries me, even though it doesn’t matter.

And if, now I’m imagining that this message will actually reach the scrolling list, you roll women’s faces, please make them mature. Cut it out with the “just 18” look. In my view that equates with “still empty headed”.

New Plan

September 5, 2012 by Carl Blare

In my last encounter on this website I became informed there is some kind of a clamp down on technical detail, of which I was not aware, so I hope not to seem naive now as I say what I say.

In my last encounter on this website I became informed there is some kind of a clamp down on technical detail, of which I was not aware, so I hope not to seem naive now as I say what I say.

The daily operation of my radio station and its several transmitters grew beyond the game plan I often voiced, namely, that I was/am the sole listener of my programming.

Why would one guy need 3-AM signals, 3-FM signals and shortwave and longwave besides?

See what I’m saying?

I agree with myself in saying that there will be a change, effective immediately.

From now on I will only broadcast on the frequency I am hearing, and not on multiple unheard channels.

Tonight I’m on this frequency, tomorrow another.

Perhaps I have come to a reasonable frequency management plan that fits my declared purpose.
