I have both after several weeks of testing and adjustments with the Rangemaster, the Procaster is defintely the better of the two. Coverage wise and sound quality. The Rangemaster came with a telescoping antenna, which wasn't so good. I bought a 102" whip CB antenna. It made some improvement in signal and coverage. But not anything to write home about. I will be going back to the Procaster at some point in the near future. The Procaster is the best of the two from my experience.
Hi Roy, you seemed to have posted this 3 times. If you want leave it in transmitter talk and delete it from the other category(s) so it's not duplicated.
A good review of the two transmitters. The Procaster is also the easier to use and set up.
Not as complicated with a whole array of jumpers and needing an analog multimeter.
I am not surprised that it is not quite as good as the Procaster due to the complication of tuning and getting it right.
Are you using the Procaster antenna as it is also a 3 section put together. They have to be either telescoping or sectional to ship it.
Using the section antenna that comes with the procaster.
