Every once in awhile I get hung-up on the use of the expression "RF stage" since the FCC part 15 rules specify "100 mW at the final RF stage".
So this morning I gagged the expression... or, perhaps I mean "googled" it although I don't use google as a search engine, but here's what two dictionaries say about "RF stage"":
https://www.yourdictionary.com/rf-stage
https://www.thefreedictionary.com/RF+stage
They both say RF stage means "the frequency", which in our case is 1680 kHz. If that's true, then the FCC is saying we can have 100 mW at our operating frequency.
