Yes, that's me! There's a slightly updated version of the article coming out in their print edition -- may already be out -- that has a bit more information and a reference to AM Part 15 use as well.

I wrote this shortly after the pandemic kicked into high gear and churches all over the place were popping up with Chinese transmitters on the air.
