Seems to me that is someone makes a public post in a public forum, and then someone replies and quotes the original post, there is no issue since the original poster has been fairly attributed.

Mighty,

I have a friend using a AMT5000 with 100ft of coax, who is getting over 1000ft range.

I'm getting a solid 2 miles or so with the rangemaster, listenable up to about 5 miles before the noise completely takes over.

The SSTran is an amazing transmitter and the AMT3000 was the first high grade transmitter I purchased, I managed to get about 1/2 a mile with the wire antenna on a 2nd floor balcony. The AMT5000 is supposed to be vastly superior to the 3000, so I imagine with the right antenna (base loaded coil) you can get comparable coverage to the rangemaster and procaster.

Exactly. Thank you Jim. I also made it clear it was Keith Hamiltion. And what happens? Not one person pays attention to the content. No. I know the deal now. There is...(I don't know what) between the websites. This is not just a happy little group sharing websites and valuable info across. No. We seem to have people screaming, "MINE!"

On a freaking HOBBY site! Not MEDICAL. Not POLITICAL. Nothing IMPORTANT! We're a bunch of old men playing with TOYS, essentially! We are taking ourselves WAYYY too seriously for hobbyists! The minute someone threatens to SUE me (good luck with that) over quoting someone on another website...I'm gone for good.

I can understand doing that if a poster purposely MISquotes, posts lies and that kind of douchebaggery, yeah. Happens a lot. Info from Keith Hamilton is important to owners and future owners of the Rangemaster. I don't care where it comes from. I suppose Bill D. could be a prick if he wanted to.

I have four Low Power Broadcasting sites I frequent, Hobby Broadcasting being one of them. I cannot be a member because I have AOL as an email. Fine. A lot of good info is there that could be shared here, if people quit this PUT THE WALL UP crap. Does anyone agree with me? Do I hear an AMEN or was that "Slay him!"? Hard to tell...

Doug

The FCC has a problem with public information hidden on other web sites.

As far as I'm aware the FCC has no jurisdiction over the content of websites. I had seen Hamiltons posts on HB and thought it provided a great look into what really went down with KENC.

IP(s) will soon be banned (if they aren't already) from viewing HB.net and his forum for sharing content.

Ps: i can't view the original content at the link posted because webmaster has permanently banned the entire lakewood, CO area. i have tried wifi, other peoples internet, openvpn, etc. i am totally blocked.

He has attemped to block IP ranges in and around Dade City, FL but only with limited success. No wonder he doesn't have time to do the reviews he's promised LOL! Too funny.

But they do have problems with website blocking or hiding public information that they (the FCC) supply's. The FCC owns that information not a 3rd party website. The site may "share" but not lock it down and hide it.
