My wife and daughter had gone back
to the wonderful place called Cape Cod
that day. (Actually yesterday - as this is
being written.) I walked home from work
- about 3 1/2 miles. My dog Hoover was
there. It was good to see him. I was tired
and went up to bed. (It was about 12:30 AM.)
I got into bed and Hoover went to sleep on
the floor. My phone was playing some old time
radio shows through it's speaker to put me to
sleep. As I drifted off - a few old time radio
shows went by. I started to dream, I guess.
Have you ever had sound in a room get into
your dreams when you are asleep?
Well - it happened to me.
All of the recordings I had made of "Blare
On Air Lite" started coming out of the phone.
Carl's talking started getting into my dreams!
Dreams make no sense, so I'll just paraphrase.
To make a long story short - I was surrounded
by radios that had Carl's voice! Then I started
following his voice. I started trying to find his
house! Then I was in his back yard! Then I wasn't.
Then I was again! Well, it was all a big jumble.
I just HAD TO FIND his house!
The recordings repeated over and over all night long.
Then I woke up. I looked at the phone. It's battery was
almost dead, but Carl was still talking out of the speaker.
Oh what a relief! it was all a dream! I didn't have to
frantically run all around looking for KDX and the Internet
Building!
All I had to do was make breakfast and plan the day.
That was so much easier.

Not a full scale nightmare, but I have also had radio sound weave into dreams and it can make a sleeping man very busy trying to organize the mess.
Walking so many miles amounts to about 16,000-feet! No wonder you were tired.
I think I'll add a special caveat in the Blare OnAir Lite shows, maybe like;
Neither Carl Blare, Worldround Radio, nor the Internet Building are responsible for whatever insane dreams may result from listening while asleep.
Breakfast sounds good.
Carl - you always have a great take on
the things I say, Thank you again.
Speaking of listening to things -
I just heard Lefty Gomez for the
first time. WOW is he ever good!
Finally I have acess to some equipment
so that I can listen to more of the guys
that stream on here.
Of course everything is unpredicable
given our situation - but just recently
THAT got better. For a little while anyway.
It's hard to explain and out of the scope
of this board anyway.
See you later.
