Hey guys I'm going to have one of these made for me and so my question is what antenna do you use?
Can you use a CB antenna or what?
If you could provide info and links I'd appreciate it.

Just about any antenna will work with the AM-25. Your choice depends upon what you are trying to do. If you want to cover your house and yard then a 3 meter piece of wire will work.

If you want to extend the range to hundreds of feet then consider a base coil loaded antenna, but keep in mind the limitations of part 15.219 of the FCC rules which limit the total length of the antenna, feedline, and ground lead to 3 meters.

Though I have not tried it, the SSTRAN antenna (click on the SSTRAN link on the left of this page) should work very well with an AM-25 based on my bench tests of the AM-25.

Here's a link to a thread about this:

Also, if you do a search on this site for "AM-25" you will find several threads where this unit is discussed.
