I worked a large Radios Stations and we always had to pay our music fee's.. I am planiing
to set up a whole studio in September with a pretty good range on my transmitter. Now since I will have a large coverage area will I need to pay music fee's??? I am looking at trying to get the 2 mile range in
every direction, but not really sure if I will. I notice the Rangemaster says 2 miles and so does the the procaster transmitters. I am hoping to get close to the 2 mile range that they claim. Anyways with this coverage range then are Music fees needed to be paid????? If so how do I go about paying them??
The Station I worked at took care of that part. Well being this is one question I had. I know if the transmitter
is being use for home use you do not have to pay these fees. Does anyone else who is running a
FCC part 15 transmitter pay these fees???

no. you don't need to pay any fee's unless you stream.
The "you don't have to pay unless you stream" story is a MYTH. You need to license music you broadcast whether you broadcast 50 feet, or 200 miles. I have posted this in another thread, here:
