Radio station automation for Linux
Has anyone any experience in radio station automation using the Linux operating system?
I've searched a bit on the net, but haven't tried any software.
Here's one that looks like it's actively supported. http://www.campware.org/en/camp/livesupport_news/
LiveSupport looks like it has a good scheduler, but doesn't offer streaming to a Shoutcast/Icecast server.
MUSE does streaming, and allows for mixing of several files and streams plus a live mic/line-in. It doesn't look like it's been updated for a while. http://muse.dyne.org/
The power of Unix should allow for one to easily script automation using shell scripts, Perl, etc, but it'd be nice to find something like SAM for Linux.
Linux should allow for the use of multiple soundcards to allow for more input/output options.

Scott
There's also Rivendell. It's a Linux-based automation in use by Salem. I haven't tried it yet because my Linux servers are older machines. There's a link to it on the resource page.
I use OTSDJ http://otsdj.com/ It works great under Linux it has an awesome integrated dynamics processor and hourly clock scheduling. And it comes with the plug-ins to support Shoutcast/Icecast servers. ๐
