Is there a series available that does not have any political leanings?
I have been screening a lot of the available stuff, and it all seems to go one way ot the other...

I always been a fan of the Naked Scientist program from Cambridge University. It's a BBC program. I had exchange several email corespondence with them a few years ago expressing interest to use their programming in part 15 broadcasts, they were welcoming about it, but I haven't been back in touch in a while. http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/
Oh I forgot about CBI - Colledge Broadcasters Inc. They don't specify Part 15, but provide a list of numerous free to broadcast programs http://www.askcbi.org/?page_id=1820

By the way, I just listened to one of the recent Naked Scientist podcast for the first time in a long while.. it was sounding a little dry to me.. Earlier episodes, like perhaps a year or two back are presented in a more entertaining manner..
An inventory of programs on my schedule seems ro indicate that programs untouched by politics might be as rare as clean water in an oil spill.
Science is strongly influenced by politics, through funding and policy decisions, i.e., some politicians deny climate change, while science programs on radio are apt to report on climate change. Science presents evolution, while creationists (a political movement) call it false.
Children's stories are political, many being anti-feminist and loaded with kings, queens, good and evil. Kings and queens are politicians and good and evil is a blueprint for everything from sports to war.
There is no such thing as a radio program free of political undertones.
Even Tim's Ooompah Hour is a political statement because it promotes feeling good and having fun, strongly opposed by people with tight sphincters.
I think you may be reading a little more into these things than required. Citing Tims show is a little past the boundry, ya think?
Even comedy.
I tend to be something of a home-spun humorist on my own radio programs, but I have met many many people who are annoyed by humor and even get pissy about it.

While re-thinking this whole question of "politic-free" radio programs I realize I've been posting responses in two categories:
1.) Thoughts about political content within programs;
2.) Comments about political consequences of programs.
Certainly MLR's original search goes mainly to category 1, but it is reasonable to suppose that MLR's reason for politically neutral program content is to steer clear of the political consequences of being percieved as a station aligned with either side of political issues.
It's a subject at the heart of "listener relations," a political responsibility of a radio station broadcasting to a "neighborhood," which is a fundamental political body.
yeah.. im looking for something along the lines of "just the facts, ma'am" - no discussion of right or left wing agendas.
You will find my questions really are as simple as they sound.
The smurfs probably are a commentary on some french political thing, but I dont care, its little blue things doing fun stuff in a fantasy setting - non-political.
Tims show: music and a great narrative (killer voice work, Tim) - not political.
See where I'm going?
I am looking forward to seeing the program list you come up with which meet the standard set for your station.
I am the kind of guy that worries about the political consequences of lawn care.
As for Tim's show, I love it and was not critisizing it. But if he played the "In heaven there is no beer, that's why we're drinking it here polka" there might be an argument about the theological politics of beer and heaven.

It's like finding a branch from the long lost family tree. In only ten minutes of the first hearing I was captivated by the tranquility of the show not only having no point, but actually being disorganized for its own sake, no bothersome message of any kind. No kidding. I like it!
And, hey, MLR, I think food and health shows might have the middle-of-the-road flavor, except that crossing over the line on a road might result in a ticket, which is a political act against the freedom to wander around on roads.
