While things are happening behind the scene we can look at a little history.
When the Initiative was established Troy TheLegacy was appointed webmaster for the site and had the option of setting up the Elite Section.
I'm pretty sure that all ALPB members WHO WERE PRESENT at that meeting voted to allow this.
ALPB members not present for a meeting have no vote.
In politics private meetings are called "closed session" and politicians do mysterious and unknown things in those private meetings.
Here at part15(dot)us all kinds of mini-closed-sessions happen when people e-mail each other with back-and-forths about thread activity.
There might be closed e-mail sessions going on right now. I should check my e-mail.
Tried to post as a guest on THE INITIATIVE site and after agreeing to the terms and passing the little test it won't post my comment.
Would be interested in seeing the document and having an opinion even though I can't be much help as I'm in Canada. But am interested in your attempt to get some rules relaxed.
Hope there's something about FM here as that needs more change than AM does.

Hi to everyone and the ones that have known me for years as a large part 15
broadcaster. I would love to see the document since I deal with the FCC all the time.
I have 5 part 15 AM transmitters and 3 part 15 FM transmitters to give me good coverage. I am also an extra class Ham radio operator.
I have been in radio longer than most people been alive.
I hope this is going to be a benifit and not hurt the hobby.
Dealing with the FCC is very Political and you do not want to make the wrong
person mad.
I will try and log in and look at the document but keep my comments to myself.

Ok I am not angry but I have no clue what has been going on but it would have
been nice to know since I am a retired eletronic engineer and this is my area
of expertise. I have also work with the FCC over the years. Anyways good luck
but know changing the FCC mind on part 15 rules will be very difficult since
people have been trying to change it for years. Maybe with AM you have a chance with
FM there is no chance since large FM radio stations would complain.
With 5 Rangemasters link I get very good coverage over my area.
There is also the streaming of the radio station over the internet as well.
I cannot find the site to look at the document so I am guessing that I will
not be able to see this document. Good luck but I will reamain to run my radio
station as it is. I have alot of money already tied up into it.
