Part 15.219 petition improvement document

As an insider I of course have already seen the latest AM Petition over at The Initiative.

It is a very detailed document and addresses many key interests being sought on behalf of all part 15 broadcasters.

As a matter of fact I truly believe the Initiative members are moving toward a worthy objective and deserve our complete backing.

This is a good cause and we must step up to the plate.

If you want public input you need to put it in the public section of the website.

Hi Guys: I will try to explain why and what where doing with the petition on New
Radio Revolution former, The initiative site.

1) We are a small organization.

2) We want to see great improvements for part15 the hobby broadcaster.

3) The reason for the closed petition site on the new radio revolution former the
initiative site is to get inputs from some members first !!

a) The second reason is once we get members inputs for the petition together then what we will do is a draft and keep making a draft until we feel it will pass on the New radio
revolution former the initiative site and were sure it will pass with the fcc.

b) Then when the New Radio Revolution feels the part 15 petition improvements are perfect
we will post it and have it OPEN TO EVERYONE TO SEE and also take inputs as well!!!!

c) And we believe in doing this process we will NOT GET OVERWHELMED on inputs!!!!!!

The reason for the steps are that we are a small organization who has very limited help
and also had people say we will help you and fall through and NOT give use any help at
all and And never had the common curiosity to inform us that they can't help us anymore which makes are job very difficult in getting the petition done.

WE ALL LOVE AND ENJOY THIS HOBBY AND THE CRAP FROM ALL THE SITE SHOULD GO AWAY AND PULL TOGETHER TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS FOR EVERYONE.

We are NOT here to hurt anyone feeling,But this is what we are going through.

Then why post this on an open and public Forum, when most who may be interested would not be able to get access to the document, and wonder what was going on - probably getting frustrated in the process?

It seems to me that the worst enemy of the New Radio Revolution isn't anybody else, or any other site, but the New Radio Revolution.

I want to see you succeed.  But there are ways of attracting involvement and dealing with people that are positive.  And then there are the ways that turn people off.  I suggest that this is a good example of the latter, and hope that you guys can see that too (and make changes to improve public relations).

Is ask for permission on the elite access on the new Radio Reveloution former the initiative site!!!

Once you get approval your good to go to see and comment on petition!!!

Or you can wait until it comes out for the public to comment on!!!!

THERE IS SECURITY REASON WHY ITS CLOSED IF YOU CANT FIGURE THAT OUT I DONT WHAT TO SAY ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!

I don't understand the security concerns, as most people want to help you succeed (if they're given a chance) and the rest don't care.  So, you want people to see the document and comment on it, particularly since you're complaining that you need help.

Anyway, here's what I suggest, since the request for input was very vague. Once you think that the document is ready for real public (as opposed to filtered) consumption, post a link here (or the entire document), and ask again.  That way there's no confusion, and anybody who wants to provide their input can do so easily.

Glad to hear that it's more than just talk and something constructive and real is happening. Is this petition in the works only for AM? or is some improvement to FM in the works also? I think that asking for Canada's 100uV/M@ 30 meters would have a realistic chance of getting consideration.

Like I've said before though, I'd like to help but I don't live and vote in the USA and your polititions won't care what I think.

Oh ya, I noticed you(station8), said the petition will go to the FCC when you know they will agree???....how do you know what the FCC will consider or agree to? You have to present what is realistic and what they MIGHT consider.

I've just received some clarification that this document will NOT be made available to the general public prior to being brought forward to the FCC (that from a post in the Elite section of that Forum).  I don't know if this is a result of confusion, or a difference of opinion, or ?

If you're interested, you'll have to follow the directions of Station8 for access to it.

I've already made my comments regarding the document over there, but those will be the last, as I've withdrawn from the entire effort.

Now now, in their defense they said they would release it "milliseconds" before submitting it to the FCC.

I did say that in ANGER.  Not really it was the Progressive Rocker in me doing that.  Reason I did such was that people keep asking me over and over to kill the Elite section and make EVERYTHING public.

I have stated since June 5th 2015 that I wanted to create a secure site where people can be free to work on the petition without fear.  When asked over and over to kill the Elite section I was ready to boil.  I said it again and will keep saying it until the document is final we'll keep it Elite Only.  Microsoft does this with Windows 10 as with every other product they've made.  Its called Beta.  So if you members of the New Radio Revolution look at this as Beta Testing you'll understand why the Elite Access.

Then I was accused of having "Slaves" of the group.  Actually there is like a few of us who's done research as to how to submit the petition.  This means (Calling The FCC and having good relations with them).  Also the memberr in question has a background in this and has worked hard to make this a reality.

Another factor was posted that I don't listen.  Well I'm a FM guy could care less about AM at first.  The reason this AM petition was created was because of members who asked to create a petition for AM because FM does not work in all areas.  So again this was created based on input from members of the group.

And I've stated that those who are dead set on making a change would be granted the Elite access.  So again its really not that hard to get this access if your serious about change and don't become harsh against what we are trying to do.

Again I get angry I'm homan.  But again use the brain.  I've stated what this group was going to be like from day one.  How the document was to be presented.  So again a little anger is something that can happen when you ask the same thing over and over.

Why not ask for a FREE copy of SAM Broadcaster and see what you get.  Do it more than once and see what you get.  Or ask Microsoft not to have a private area and do it 100-200 times and see if you don't get a smart answer after a while.  Yes I was being smart when I blurted that out.  But again didn't Station8 tell you that there would be plenty of time to domment if you didn't ask for the Elite section?  Please give The New Radio Revolution some slack when making blanket statements.

I am a believer in the New Radio Revolution and am one of its boosters.

But right now I see something that I think I should mention.

The suggestions, advice and criticisms that you right now are unhappy about were INPUT!

You have invited input.

But here you are angry over some of the input.

If people think their input will make you angry, they will stop giving it.

The real problem is the summer heat. That is worth getting upset about.

Everyone here now understands that to see and comment on your document they have to join your website and gain Elite access.  That was NOT clear in the original post, but has been made clear.  That discussion is over.

There's not much point posting here out of context (i.e., discussing posts that were made on your website, here - no one knows what those posts are all about).  Plus, your website was created to move most of the Initiative (now New Radio Revolution) discussions there.  They need to stay there, unless there's a compelling reason to bring them here (such as announcements).

Suddenly I realized that the guys at The Initiative/NRR might think I was aiming at them with the title I used up above... "Keep Your Mouth Shut".

No, no, that was not why I wrote that!

I was thinking that to myself... I was thinking, "I should keep my mouth shut", but I went ahead and said the stuff I said.

Hey its all good Carl your Input is cool.  You don't keep asking to kill the Elite access.  Yes its input.  Some suggestions are already being taken under a magnifying glass when it comes to the petition.

I'll let you folks know if there is another update to the petition.  We have our technical folks looking into any issues.
