Thank you kc8gpd for finding and posting this.

I wrote an e-mail to Palomar to ask about their LW transmitter, but did not get a reply.

This will be a good reference manual.

has schematics and pcb board layout in manual along with a parts list i believe. also has instructions to modulate it using AM.

Interesting. They use an oscillator similar to the one I posted for the VLF project. The CMOS 4011 with crystal provides the main oscillator/buffer which is followed by a 4024 divide by 128 ripple counter to arrive at the operating frequency.

Some of the pages seem to be blank in the Palomar manual so the parts list to include the crystal is missing.

There is a description of the crystal on page 8-1

SPECIAL REQUEST

If someone downloads the pdf file of the Palomar Transmitter will you please link the download to this thread?

Downloading the Facebook link provided by kc8gpd does not allow printing unless the user has a Facebook account, which I do not wish to have.

Blank pages...can't print unless there is an account....

...smell a setup to set up a slapface account for increasing "like" and "friend" counts?

Free is certainly not free anymore.

Back in January I was sent a copy of the schematic, but locating it has taken a long time. The Palomar Transmitter Manual is linked on this page:
