OK music fans -- Oompah hour #48 is ready to go. At the usual link:
http://www.ironrangecountry.com/oompahhour.mp3
When you're listening to the Oompah Hour, all the songs come from actual vinyl phonograph records! With the possible exception of a few records from the 80's, for the most part these are all actual musicians playing actual instruments all at the same time, live in a studio. No fancy overdubbing, no computer tricks. Even though overdubbing, etc was available in the tape era, most of these bands were not using expensive top of the line studios. And the records played date back to the 1940's -- yes, that's PRE-TAPE! Real people, real music, actually performing and interacting with each other in the studio! What a crazy idea THAT is!
Anyway, enjoy. Show #47 falls into the archive to live on forever. Amazing how close we are to the one year anniversary!
BE sure to like the show on Facebook too! I actually posted a "selfie" of me in the studio doing the show, so have a look. facebook.com/timsoompahhour
