lpbinc.com is now down, perhaps forever. LPB has been operating under a different name, using a Philadelphia number, for a number of years. The e-mail and street addresses on the web site were not operative for quite a while. The story that has been going around is that they owed money that they didn't want to, or couldn't, pay.
I noticed that the LPB links in the Library section of this part15.us website don't work anymore. I hope that the very useful articles from LPB are archived somewhere.
It was inevitable....the expiration of a domain name was also inevitable considering the time frame from then to now.
As I stated elsewhere, its too bad...LPB was a great company to work with and made top of the line products. Mismanagement and greed tends to ruin good things.

They are, or rather will be soon at hobby broadcaster.
For whatever reason, I am not able to read any of the LPB files, although I can read other PDF files. Since SCWIS says that these files are still working, I assume that there is something wrong with my Adobe Reader installation.
Ermi, try downloading the pdf to your desktop and then open them from there instead of in your browser, it should work.
A more elaborate alternative would be to update both your browser and your adobe reader.. but it's really not necessary IMO.. I've gotten to the point that I don't update a lot of thing unless its absolutely necessary. Updates are not always a good thing, and often enough are buggy... and tend to cause more problems down the line than their worth.
Downloading prior to opening the file did the trick. Thanks.
Looks like the LPB domain was renewed. The site is back up.

The renewed website is the same as before, with the no-longer operational Camden, NJ phone numbers (their latest functioning phone number that I know about is from Philadelphia) and e-mail addresses that have not worked for years. It looks like they are still operating underground under another name, and only deal with their known customers--sort of like a speakeasy.
Who do you have to know to get connected with LPB On the Low
The following contact information may be as much as two years out of date, since I am not part of the LPB network:
Tel: 267-252-5092
Mail drop: 216 W. Erwin St. Suite 300, Tyler, TX 75202
what in the hell happened with lpb? why are they being so cryptic in doing business if still operational?
i have one of their lpb 2000 series cable modulators puts out 10mW to 50 ohms? something like that. there was a linear made for it that put out 1 watt to 50 ohms to drive radiating cable as well which i do not have.
i have played with the modulator and it works pretty good stand alone.
excellent quality.
A few years ago, LPB lost a lawsuit in Federal court in Camden, NJ for non-delivery of ten 10 kW LPB SW transmitters ordered by a foreign customer. The customer had paid for the order in advance, and was later abandoned. LPB had partially completed the construction of one transmitter, and did not build any others. Maybe they didn't have the cash they needed to complete the work (speculation on my part).
It appears likely to me that LPB went underground because they either could not pay the judgment, or didn't want to pay.
