he can actually be helpful to a know nuttin like me LOL
I may have been a member during that era, but I was unaware of anything that may have been going on, so I don't know if I should beware, or, where it stands.
He's active on another forum.. I think it's radio-info.
I'm not to familiar with the whole story, but man! do some people seem to really dislike him!.. I've come across numerous post against him on a couple different forums. It kind of made me feel bad for him, from the post I see of his, he seems to have worthwhile and knowledgeable insights...
And something else just came to mind.. off the Fry topic, but similar in that it involved bashing someone.
Not to go off on a rant, but I want to make a comment about it.. About a month or so ago I was reading a lot of old post, both on here and other forums, and these particular post were from around the time the whole KENC episode was playing out. There were a lot of comments bashing Keith Hamilton, and how he was somehow indirectly responsible for it all happening- and I got to tell you, it kind of pissed me off. It seemed so ridiculous to me to blame him.
I could comprehend the frustration of it all, but for so many to publicly insinuate it was Keith's fault that it happened was just wrong, and off base. I don't know him personally, but I've dealt with him numerous times, and I do not believe the negativity against him was warranted.
(And I said I wasn't going to go on a rant)
But back to Fry (in attempt of not hi-jacking your post). The way I understand it, the consensus on Fry seems to be that he pushed and pushed certain part15 legality points until it somehow instigated the FCC to start enforcing them?? -- Is that the whole discomfort so many seem to have about him?

I never got the opportunity to engage in any discussions on any of the radio forums with this person. However let me just say this...based on all what I have read across the various forums....
...many seem to be "armchair" experts in regarding the rules. Well when you get them all saying "100mW FM" and "200 feet limit AM"....I tend to take it all with a grain of salt.
But who knows regarding this person Fry. Sometimes people can be shunted out when those doing the shunting know darn well the one being shunted out is right and knows more than the rest.
Ego thing I guess.
