Low Power Hour # 38 is available on

I'm sure Carl would appreciate feedback
on the show. I thought it was great!
So - the LPH is back!
Check it out!
Bruce, DRS2
And it's really good. I'm happy to hear the LPH back on the air.
Has anyone heard from Carl on here lately? Normally he at least gets on here to announce new episodes. I haven't seen him on here in a few weeks.
It's like he's gone into hiding or something.
Took some time away during the ultra hot spell. I was getting too cranky.
It wasn't easy being quiet, I'm kind of addicted to all this radio talk.
And I'm very delighted by the strong desire to have the low power radio program continue, so I will try to do a good job keeping it going.
Carl I plan to use your show on my station when it is all up and going.
I would also like to use your logo for our website to get the word out on your show.
Keep up the great work Sir and please let me know if there is anyway I can help you.
We need the good cheer on our Flea powered stations.
Dear Mr. Lefty Gomez:
Great! When you have your station details I will list you as an Affiliate Station.
And it would be very good if you use our logo as a cross-promotional device on your website.
If I have read recent comments clearly, you were an active station in the past. Guess you are having a "relapse."
Once part 15, always part 15.
...I'd love to use your shows to fill in part of the overnight programming gap (11PM to 8AM) and air the newest show on Saturday afternoons.
Also, if my plans for a no-frills, computer based studio work out like I want them to, I'd love to be on the show to talk about it.
By the way, my plans for a computer-based studio involve a computer loaded with music, IDs, jingles, etc. along with audio mixing and recording software. I plan to have 2 or more basic desktop microphones (the kind people use for Skype) plugged into the computer. I hope this setup will save me some money since I already have everything I need except for the transmitter.
I'd try to find someone willing to trade me a Talking House transmitter for an old 1970's Lloyd's model 3G45 AM/FM/Phonograph stereo I have collecting dust (it needs speakers and the speed switch fixed. It's currently stuck on 78 RPM) or a 1988 Sony CDP-32 CD player (the CD drawer is a little tempremental), BUT the shipping costs would probably cost more than the transmitter.
Plenty of TH deals over on ebay. Just nabbed one for under 60 bucks including shipping and some weird looking external antenna. I'm mostly interested in this weird antenna being included with the unit by the seller.

We should have a guy at the door to welcome people. His name would be Mat.
And that includes you, radioX1610.
When the time comes your station will be added to the affiliates list.
You and ALL part 15 people are welcome to join the conversation portion of the LPH, as everyone else would like to hear your story about low power experience.
There are very few tower accidents with 3-meters.
A guy named Mat to greet people at the door is a great idea. But I have a better idea. A talking welcome mat. When someone steps on it, it says Welcome to the KDX Internet Building (or whatever place it's at). It might spook people and be fun.
To RFB: I've been trying for a while to buy a talking house transmitter off Ebay. Life keeps taking my extra money before I even bid. Car problems (including bi-weekly payments on a $956 transmission replacement), $3.59 a gallon gas for that car (it gets 15 mpg and I commute 10 miles one way to work), food (I tried an all-ramen diet to save money, but after a week I was about to gag at the sight of ramen), car insurance ($330 for 6 months due to my poor driving record), and the list goes on and on. Every time I get an extra $50 or $60, something bad happens and I have to spend it. A week ago, I almost snagged a deal on a TH ($14.99 plus shipping off ebay), but my car broke down. Had to spend my extra $90 on a tow truck bill, antifreeze, and a water hose. If I could get ahead, I could buy a TH off Ebay.
The talking welcome mat is a great idea!
It could be extra loud so people would jump and ......
That's too silly.
But if it was bill collectors or solicitors......
Keep up the good ideas.
"But if it was bill collectors or solicitors..."
Mine would say "See that little hole in the door most call a peep hole....".
Leave it to imagination what is said and happens after that! :p

"Life keeps taking my extra money before I even bid."
Tell me about it. It's only now that I can spend a little (very little) while still balancing the rest of the finances. I'm not interested in the TX, just the odd ball antenna that is being included with it.
I really don't need another TH unit. I may just sell it to you for the same price I paid for it, plus shipping of course. But I bet it will be less than what I paid. 🙂
I'll keep you posted.

Hmm ... Matt Flatt the Welcome Mat
How about a smart welcome mat that can somehow determine if someone is an intruder. If the person tried to break in, the mat would sense it and say "UNAUTHORIZED VISITOR! ACCESS DENIED!!!!!" and then tase the subject with 50,000 volts and call the cops. It would also somehow restrain the subject until the authorities arrive.
It would take alot of technology, but it would be an awesome idea.
