No matter what I did I could not get it to work no sound out of it.
DJbout it, did you have the needed Phantom Power Supply?
Yes I hook it up to a Innogear I226 phanton power supply and I could not get sound.
You gave the TONOR Microphone a fair chance and did everything right, DJbout it.
Now we know that some of them don't work.
Happy you found a microphone that you like and that does the job.
Tonight I received 4 more PSAs from my township to record and broadcast and I still have to say that this mic sounds great.
Jim Henry did you see my Reply # 14 about the Blue Snowball Mic?
This Samson usb microphone is heavy it is like 2 to 2 1/2 times heavier than Tonor micrphone it puts like 35% more strain on my boom arm not good long trem. I bet this Samson is really a condenser microphone to get it to work as a usb there is a small phantom power supply inside.
Double post sorry
Carl, yes I did but that confused me. There are no switches to change anything on the microphone and it came with no software. I just plugged it into my USB port and it just worked, and worked great.
Jim notes: "There are no switches to change anything."
Oh, that means the version I saw on YouTube was a different model.
It sounds good?
Don't change anything!
I can highly suggest the MXL line of mics as well, their condensors are outstanding, and very fair priced.
The BCD-1 mic I use seems to be even more sensitive than my EV RE20!!
But I still use the RE20 as my "main" mic --- the MXL is a back-up......
Agreed! I have a BCD-1 as well, outstanding mic, I was using for SSB on the Ham bands for over a year, then decided to change it up and droppe din a MXL 910.
I just ordered an FM TX, so The BCD-1 might get pressed back into use...
