They Exist
There are good radio microphones for under $50.
If you wait until I gather some information I will post it in this thread.
Thanks for posting this John. I could not find a price on their website so I bought one through Amazon. I am disappointed that while this was listed as an Amazon Prime item and I am a member, whe I went to check out it said delivery would be between June 27 and July 30. This same thing happened with another item I ordered 2 weeks ago.
Locally somone is selling this package for $40 I will see if I can get it
Microphone is pretty good for the price but I have heard the microphone boom arm is junk.
DJboutit I have looked into the Chinese inexpensive condenser microphones like the TONOR you are getting and they are surprisingly good.
The suspension arm might also be good, the YouTube reviews I've seen liked it.
Good point about the arm. Anyone know how much you really move the arm around on one of these or similar? I'm guessing you'd put it where you like it and leave it. Perhaps not.
We use them here at work for quick podcasts.
In a voice studio I know we used the suspension arm to pull the mic forward for use and push it back out of the way when we were done speaking.
I bought this one via Amazon and it arrived today:

I LIKE it! It sounds great and much better than what I was using.
I have seen 2 Youtube reviews of the blue mic and it sucks audio out sounds really tiny.
That hasn't been my experience, but I'm not using it for music, just spoken word.
The Tonor microphone is dead I got a Samson C01U USB microphone and it works just fine
Jim Henry, my recommended settings, after learning about the "settings switch" by watching a YouTube Video about the Blue Mic, are as follows:
- When miking 2 or more people in a conversation using as many Blue Snowballs, use the CARDIOID settings (Setting 1) to minimize the phase-cancelation among the microphones;
- When miking only 1 voice use the Omni-Directional setting (Setting 3) for the fullest most robust sound quality.
DJbout it... what does it mean: "The Tonor microphone is dead."
How is anyone supposed to know what that means unless you explain it?
