Came across this..
"LoudMax is a Look-Ahead Brickwall Loudness Maximizer Plugin with a clean transparent sound. It is designed to retain the original character of the music as much as possible even at high compression levels."

On a related note,
From 2001 to 2007, Jeroen Breebaar was with the Digital Signal Processing group at Philips Research, conducting research in the areas of spatial perception, stereo and multi-channel parametric audio coding, automatic audio content analysis and binaural rendering. His work on spatial audio coding has been incorporated in several international (broadcast) standards.
In 2011 and 2012 Jeroen was with Civolution, developing watermarking algorithms for broadcast monitoring, second screen applications and forensic tracking of media content.
And thats not even a complete list.
I only post that biography to show the guy knows his stuff..
Anyway, he is also the creator of the ToneBoosters plugins (nothing to do with my previous post) at http://www.toneboosters.com/
Well, here's an archived page of the previous versions of those same plugins, but these are based on the VST 2.3 specification, and provided for Windows x86 platforms only.
It is a free download and the download still works.
The particular one of interest is the "Broadcast Proccessor" plugin -
Broadcast processor
