ZaraRadio 1.6.2 running with WINE (M$ Windows "emulator") on GNU/Linux and streaming a podcast to my LPAM station which is rebroadcasting the stream locally. During this brief experiment, I was listening to my local rebroadcast on a AM radio tuned to the frequency of my I.AM.Radio transmitter. The sound was surprisingly good. 😉

I thought some of you might appreciate it even though running ZaraRadio with WINE has been done in the past. I really want the capability to rebroadcast Digital Radio Mondiale on my LPAM station, though.

Recently, there's been some discussion of ways to get a signal to a remote Part 15 transmitter, without audio cables.  Capturing internet streams and (re)broadcasting them is one way of doing that - I once put a small Roku internet radio, plus a transmitter, in a weatherproof box, and located it on a remote corner of my property (I did have access to power).  I then streamed over my local area network, captured the stream on the Internet radio and fed it to the transmitter.

It worked well, as long as you don't mind the second(s) delay that inevitably crops up due to the vagarities of streaming.  And if you use an Internet radio that can be programmed directly with a stream URL, you don't need a computer to be a Part 15 broadcaster (as you can capture others' Internet streams and podcasts and broadcast them - as long as you have permission, of course).
