With years of audio experience in broadcast and recording, Carl Blare has had the fortune to experience many different types of microphones. They all have their unique qualities, each one best suited for a particular application.
Microphones can be very expensive. Now, imagine a prototype, no let's call it a HOME BREW microphone, that really sounds great. And, BONUS, inexpensive to produce, well suited for voice work.
Enter the ALPMIC! Read about Carl's ALPMIC at the HOW TO DO IT page on TheALPB.com and you too can have an inexpensive, great sounding microphone for a fraction of what those other microphones cost.
mram1500,
I don't know if it's me or what, but I tried to find Carl's writeup about his mic on the thealpb.com and couldn't locate it. Where is the "HOW TO DO IT" page? How about a direct link?
I'm not mram1500, but...
http://www.thealpb.com/ALPMIC.htm
I didn't find it the first time I looked either.
On the home page, left side, is a column of links. Down the list is "MORE LINKS".
On the "MORE LINKS" page, right side, you'll see "NEW" and below that a text link. These will take you to the "How To Do It Page".
The is also a direct link on the home page, right side, under the "NOTEWORTHY" column.
Thank you, Carl, for the interesting and informative writeup on your microphone design. Microphones are probably the last pieces of equipment that we think about "rolling our own" and your project has opened the door for this.
Neil
It's sort of like Where's Waldo.
I will be adding a direct link on the home page, just haven't had time.
Oh man - that is COOOOL... ๐
OK, there is now a navigation link to the How To Do It page located at the bottom of the navigation links, left side of every page.
Enjoy!
