This house was within a few yards of a tornado the sliced through here in the 1950s which took down the original channel 2 tower right near the St. Louis Zoo.

More recent tornadoes in the midwest have left cluttered lots where homes previously stood.

The warnings always advize going to the lowest floor or getting in an inside doorway (protected I guess by the frame-work) or lying down in a bath tub.

I may combine all three by building a door frame over a bath tub in the basement.
