Hey strangers,
Worth a mention.. tonights 'Coast to Coast Am' program is "Vintage Radio"
Owner of one of the world's largest and best collection of rare records and high-quality radio shows from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, John Tefteller, will discuss the rich history of recorded entertainment in the United States. He'll play examples from his vast collection including Suspense, Inner Sanctum, Mercury Theatre with Orson Welles, Groucho Marx and more.
Being the night owl I am, will be listening.
If you miss it, you can almost always find it within 24 hours on youtube
Hi Rich Powers, I have been wondering about you..
Where is Rich Powers?
How is Rich Powers?
Will we ever hear from Rich Powers?
His station still looks good at the End 80 Radio website?
Did we say something wrong?
Are you too successful to mess with small fries?
Is there anything we should be doing?
What time is it getting to be?
Lots of questions.
See you tonight on C2C
This is on WTIC/1080/Hartford, our local
50 kW flamethrower. Maybe it is a delayed
airing of another show.
Anyway - it's about 1:50 AM local time here.
I think it's January 10th, but I could be
wrong.
Or, maybe it will be on later in the broadcast.
Very Cool, anyway.
Whether I eventually find it or not - radio
history audio is great stuff. Really great!

With radio on so I could listen while lying down (it's dangerous to fall asleep standing up)I wondered the same thing as DOGRADIO when George talked on a lot of subjects before finally, later, getting around to the old time radio guest.
In and out of dreams I was impressed by the studio quality of the vintage radio clips that were played, and wondered why my copies weren't that good.
They played a portion of an Orphan Annie Radio Episode in which the characters set out to build a radio transmitter. Now I'll be searching for that bit for the Low Power Hour.
Radio today wouldn't amount to anything if it weren't for Part 15 Stations and especially part15.us and the ALPB. We are the PROFESSIONAL broadcasters of tomorrow!
It was great!
Thanks Rich!
Bruce, DOGRADIO
