SWCIS,
I have manipulated the picture on several different pieces of software. You probably should mention that's 100 pixels by 100 pixels. Is that correct, or not? Anymore, graphics and photo edit programs have several different parameters that could apply. With the server delay, how will any of us know that the picture has uploaded properly?
Every time I make a significant change to my account here, I clear the cache. So far, that has not helped indicate the change has transferred or loaded properly. In fact, the old graphic reloads after being deleted, when uploading the new picture. If there is a better process or set of steps to follow, the admins might want to re-write the instructions or at least amend the current write-up.
Marshall, I had a similar problem uploading here a few weeks ago. Try deleting what you have uploaded.. then leave it alone and don't do anything else. Then come back later (at least a few hours) and upload your new stuff.
That's what worked for me.
I suspect it just has something to do with a cache on the server or something.. no big deal.
Avatars can be no bigger than 100 x 100 pixels, and no larger than 30kb.
Pictures in your blog posting can not exceed a total of 1meg.

For his design of the catchy KDX animated thumbnail logo!
Part Fifteenee for teenee radio.
Dear Rich Powers:
The new animated graphic is fabulous and it loaded up right away without any delays.
Thank you for your generous creative work.
Now I can admire myself in a whole new way.
Carl
Carl, I'm glad you like it... But.. The first post I went to this afternoon was the EAS recent replies, and when I read your post, that's when it occurred to me what I forgot to do... and it has nothing to do with EAS.
I made one more ani-icon with extended delays. If you go back to that link it's posted there now. The speed of the middle one is slower:
Culture 5 sec. - KDX 29 sec. - Host 5 sec. - Hour 29 sec.
It's the same speed that I ended up changing mine to after it was originally uploaded, reason being is that I thought the faster one was to distracting when you're trying to read a post - it tends to catch your eye while in the middle of a sentences.. and to me it's aggravating!
Maybe it's just me, and it's totally up to you of course if you want to change it to the extended delay icon or not.
It's just my suggestion.
You, Rich, are professional plus.
I do like the reason you give for a slower change rate, and will soon update the logo.
Great!
All the good things happening at part15.us have inspired the opening of the new Low Power Hour Web Page
It is in the early stages of furniture arrangement.
Er, you mean http://kdxradio.com/lph.html
You put a comma instead of a period (Put your glasses on Carl!)
By the way, the "graphic powered by Rich" plug wasn't necessary, that's yours! It's powered by KDX.. I just manufactured it!
Well, I finally got 'er done. Whew! Thank you to everyone for your help. ON to the next project. "Click"
I didn't think about animation 'til I saw yours. Now I want an animated one, too. How did you accomplish that?
Ken, You website has been down all last night and this morning.. what's going on? Anyway, I messed around with an ani for you..

It should be obvious that a Part 15 Shopping Mall is coming together.
The Crow can "put you on the map;"
Marshall at the VO Center can provide professional announcements;
Rich Powers can animate you with award winning little graphics.
Who else has invented a special part 15 product or service?
How about engineering consulting services?

That's great!... To bad some of students sucks though.. Why's everybody looking at me?
Easy, Rich Powers, we open "Suck Recovery" where troubled engineers can get their readings taken with sensitive meters.
