"Ok gents I have been working so hard that I have no time to deal with Radios for a few months. Now I am being accused of breaking a law?"

No one said you were breaking any law. I believe what was said was "questionable installation" and I can pretty much bet that comes from the previous discovery of the missing OET data on how that ATU was set up during certification.

It means that until shown otherwise, do as you see fit for your station and be responsible for it, ATU on the roof or on the ground.

So long and congrats to the guys who have zero empathy for anyone else. The network is now left to Bob MRAM."

Each has to choose what is best for them. I hope your making the right one..for you and the organization. This is not saying Bob wouldn't be a good choice to chair the organization. I'm simply saying go with your gut and knowledge and common sense about everything.

Good luck to you.

No, what was stated was "regarding the chairman running a questionable part 15219 setup including self incriminating photo evidence"

self-in·crim·i·na·tion (slfn-krm-nshn)
n.
Incrimination of oneself, especially by one's own testimony in a criminal prosecution.
self-in·crimi·nating adj.
self-in·crimi·na·tory (-n-tôr, -tr) adj.

The statement implies criminal activity, violation of FCC rules. This is character assassination and I don't blame Lefty for turning his back on this forum as will others if personal judgements of this nature are allowed.

The majority of part15.us members are simply puzzled by the insinuations that have been made by a minority, and we hope that Lefty will ignore the whole incident and continue as before.

We are NOT here to find fault with each other. We are here to support the practice of part 15 radio broadcasting.

To me, Lefty Gomez is the inventor of the Association of Low Power Broadcasters, and the organization is alive, and he is its leader.

Perhaps all leaders attract unfair attacks, for whatever reason. That would be stuff for a psychology forum.

Only person to say the word "criminal" was you mram. Taking what Rev said a bit out of context maybe? Eh?

You seem to be quite defensive about that ATU thing. I wonder why. Do you know something that the FCC and OET doesn't know?

Until it is proven otherwise, yes those missing photos, no one knows if that setup is ok or not. So from that point, just do what's best for your stations and hope for the best.

No need to bark at anyone here who questions. Might be better to focus the attention where it should be.

Or should we not question and just go along to get along.

No thanks.

It's one thing to ask questions, quite another to issue a thinly veiled accusation of wrongdoing.

And to attempt to drag down others by association.

Lefty, I understand your frustration. It may be too late, but ignore these guys, who obviously have their own agendas.

And if after reflection, you still feel the same way, thanks for getting things started. I just hope that your ideas and fledgling organization don't get subverted by the words of a few.

There will always be guys who get their kicks knocking down others' efforts.
