Just woundering if anyone can direct me to a place to get good backgrounds for IDs and bumpers for my new station.
I've been kinda looking myself for the future. I haven't bought anything from these guys but they seem to do a good job and reasonable..
Hi!
First of all I'll refer you to a site that was mentioned on the Ramsey electronics site by what I think was a part 15.us member. Check out www.radiodaddy.com Much like this site it's very survival and growth depends on participation. So be sure to offer as well as ask.
There are some production libraries for sale that offer hundreds of tracks ready for use. They aren't free, but at least you don't have to worry about royalties and permissions. An example is www.danoday.com This was also mentioned on a part 15 forum somewhere. You'll also usually find some on a popular auction site.
And lastly there are companies that create and sell royalty free music for radio/tv/film use. I bought some from QCCS which gave me 10 3-5 minute tracks and then a 30 second and 60 second version of each.
By the way, thanks to those who, in other posts, referred me to these places. If I weren't so lazy this morning I'd look up the original posts to give proper credit.
Hello,
I use The Apple production music library in my part15 radio station. You can look at:

Hey man,
I'll be glad to do one or two for you. You can hear some of my bumpers and ID's featured in my podcast.
Go to:
http://wmcfpodcast.blogspot.com/
Scroll down to Episode 4, download or stream, and you'll here me, bumpers, and great indie music.
Some production companies send out demos promoting product. Some of these disc's sometimes have a few free cuts you can use for no fee.
The only two names I can think of are "ELS" and "Canary". I'm sure others do the same thing. I've got a couple from back when I was running my own video production shop and needed music beds. I also bought some from a very reasonably priced company called "The Music Bakery".
Good Luck...have fun.
