You might try checking to see if your state has a state network. Though I can't think of any services off the top of my head that produce a weekend newscast of that length.

There are 5-minute, 30-minute and 1-hour newscasts on weekends, but I don't know about any that are 10 to 15-minutes.

Well Texas State Network has a 10 or 15 minute cast at noon If I'm not mistaken. That is a pretty unusual length that I think would be limited to State Networks. I know ABC, WW1, Salem, and the other big networks don't. The industry standard is pretty much set to 5 minutes with most offering a 3 minute option.

The format is so new and mostly controlled by Radio One that I'm unaware of any that are free. I'm certain there has to be though.

In the 1980s I worked for a public FM station and we knew a great DJ on 1600 AM that did an R&B show that first started back in the 1950s.

We contacted the station and asked if we could re-broadcast 1-hour of the show once a week minus the commercials, and the station liked the idea so much they made a commercial-free air-check of the show and all we had to do was pick it up on a reel of tape.

What you (DJboutit) might do is contact a streaming station that has a great show and ask if you can have permission to re-stream their program.

I was hunting at archive(dot)org for a program for me when I found a program and wondered... "I wonder if DJboutit will like this?"

It's a show called "Good Times with Mo", recorded in the Philippines with DJ Mo Twister and guests, he talks ABOUT music but I am not sure if he plays music... I liked it a lot so it must be good.

Good Times with Mo
