There will be a meeting of the ALPB, 15 March, 2013.

Meetings are internet based using Team Speak, a free app available for download.  There is a link on The ALPB website for this app.

NEW MEMBER:  Long time Air Personality Jerry Gaule of Gaules Moldie Oldies has petitioned for membership.

Jerry has been a Commercial, Internet and unlicensed-low power broadcaster for many years.  He brings a wealth of experience to the group.

You can listen to archived shows at HIS PODOMATIC PAGE.

Jerry also recently activated membership here at Part15.

Welcome back!

With the return of Daylight Time to much of the U.S., taking effect Sunday March 10, the Meeting Time for ALPB on Friday March 15th will be impacted.

Meeting Time 8 PM EDT / 7 PM CDT / 6 PM MDT / 5 PM PDT

Those are U.S. time zones, I am not sure how this applies in Canada or New Zealand.

My oversight regarding the GMT.  I thought since the agreed upon "local time" for the meeting seems to work we'd stay with the 7 pm Eastern, which will be Daylight time by the meeting.

As such the GMT will move 1 hour.

My reason for staying with the 7 pm is that last time we changed due to the Daylight Savings change most of us (including myself) had trouble with the new local meeting time.

I will poll the members to see what works best and repost to confirm the time.

It is certainly no fault of our Chairman that the Daylight Time has caused this disruption.

Forgive me if I lose my cool, but Daylight Time is stupid and silly.

I have in my hand a cup full of pencils which I now throw against the wall.

Instead of changing everybody's clock they need to have the very few shift their schedules, like schools and children, shift your #@?!* schedule!

I HATE Daylight Time, yet I am a peaceful person in all other aspects.

STOP FIDDLING WITH OUR LIVES, whoever the fanatics are who make stupid rules.

We've got drones to worry about thanks to you!

Oh, excuse me, I've lost control. I'm much better now.

I vote for keeping it at your 7 ET daylight saving or not. Myself heading into the later years of my life and upside down in the world, by keeping it at one set time its easier for my aging brain to work out what time I need to met every body that are at the top of the world.
