Respect On the Rise for RT News

Everyday KDX carries a half-hour newscast from RT America in Washington D.C.

We almost dumped it because of the music they use to underscore the news stories, but I've come to regard their composer, arranger, or producer as being very musically adept... it is really a high class job.

RT has another interesting trick that I think began only recently...

They use time-stretch to slow down some of the speech without changing the pitch... Audacity and other audio software can do that. For one thing it allows fewer stories to fill-out the time. Another effect is achieved when they slow President Trump's voice... it enhances the degree to which he sounds like an organized crime boss.
