The so-called 'mouse' is the control device governing the performance of computer systems behind radio station operations. My mouse experience has not been happy, as I've already mentioned in regard to 'track-ball' types, but also with all species of mouse. And it all comes down to the mouse's sealed inability to be serviced and internally cleaned.
The present mouse causing consternation is a common variety hand-held pointy type. Problem is, the left mouse button, most common control point of all mice, is dicey. Either I click it and nothing happens or I click it and it stutters through any number of off-on-off-on iterations resulting in chaos. Cursing and swearing does not help.
If only the thing could be opened for heart-surgery maybe switch contacts could be cleaned or track-ball cavities could be de-dusted but mouse devices are sealed and cannot be popped open.
Please send help.
Well, eventually it wears out.
Track ball? How old is that mouse?
My point is, Mark, that in some cases perhaps the life of a mouse-device could be extended if only they weren't sealed in such a way that only a buzz-saw will open them up.
Look on the bottom, there may be a screw. There's one on the one I have I am using right now. It had to go together somehow.
