Back in the days when TV had some creativity, and comedy wasn't just expletives and scatological references, SCTV reigned supreme. Best yet, it arose out of Canada and was on, I believe, the Global TV Network in Toronto (30 minute episodes). It then moved to NBC for 90 minute episodes (many of which contained repeats of sketches from the earlier years).
That brought back a lot of memories.
