These are the manufactured Part 15.219 transmitters that began the talking house craze of the 1980s, they occassionally turn up on ebay and here's the one that's up there right now:

This was the first version model - or should I say "style", - because there was only one model number, but the later models included additional enhancements and the unit just looked different. - Anyway, this one on Ebay right now is the original version. It's been sitting at $3 all week with one bid, but today it jumped to $14.39 with 5 bids - but there's also $14 shipping and $30 is already about pushing what I would be willing to pay, because the talking houses they came out a few years after these were supposed to be an improvement over these.
Anyway, I'd like to have it just to have it, but I tend to doubt I would ever be happy with its sound or performance. But damn, historically it's significant
